Mino Obigiwasin is an Anicinape organization set up to provide child, family and community services following an agreement signed with CISSSAT for the management of youth protection for the 4 Anicinape communities: Kitcisakik, Lac Simon, Pikogan (Abitibiwinni) and Long Point (Winneway). Mino Obigiwasin's vision is to provide all children and families with a stable, safe, happy environment rooted in Anicinape culture.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the computer technician is responsible for the computer network and computer and electronic equipment, for their maintenance, updating and proper operation, and for providing technical assistance to Mino Obigiwasin employees.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for Mino Obigiwasin's computer server and electronic equipment (computers, docking stations, screens, keyboards, mice, telephones, printers, cell phones, televisions, projectors, etc.)
- Offer support to users and provide them with the required information on computer tools;
- Ensure the smooth operation of computer tools and take care of their maintenance, updates, licenses, etc.
- Report anomalies or breakdowns in equipment operation, communicate with service providers, provide solutions required for optimal use.
- Maintain a logbook presenting a range of solutions and advice for the use of computer tools
- Take care of the acquisition, assembly, installation and use of computer equipment
- Ensure quality service for all computer operations
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of electronic equipment and ensure that each piece of equipment is properly identified.
- Plan IT needs and propose optimal and competitive purchase offers
- Seek to optimize the functionalities of existing software and make recommendations, considering the needs of the department in question
- Identify and report on uses not approved by users
- Keep constantly up to date with new technological trends and developments in systems, software, etc.
- Maintain a clean, efficient and organized filing system for paper, electronic files and e-mails.
- Participate in special projects as required (office equipment planning support, building layout, etc.)
- Participate in the coordination of facility needs (snow removal, basic maintenance, appointment scheduling, etc.)
- Establish good relations with partners and merchants
- Any other related tasks.
- PSD or CDS in computer science or equivalent
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to always maintain confidentiality of information
- Recognized for adaptability and resourcefulness
- Demonstrate professional rigor and discretion
- Problem-solving orientation and good priority management skills
- Experience in the Anicinape world is an asset
- English is an important asset.

- Permanent, full-time position, 35 hours per week
