Mino Obigiwasin Services Enfance & Famille Anicinape was set up to provide child and family services to the Anicinape population. This follows an agreement signed with CISSSAT to manage youth protection for the 4 Anicinape communities: Kitcisakik, Lac Simon, Abitibiwinni (Pikogan) and Long Point (Winneway). Mino Obigiwasin's vision is to provide all Anicinape children and families with a stable, safe, happy and culturally-rooted living environment.

JOB SUMMARY

In keeping with Mino Obigiwasin Services Enfance et Famille Anicinape's mission, orientations, values and general policies, the incumbent accompanies and supports the people in charge of the childcare environment. (RFT, LFF(kinship), PFFA) in the development of their role and responsibility as carers of the child in their care.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the authority of the program coordinator RFT, the speaker must:

  • At the request of the AM team's intervener, the intervener will offer a specialized service to the host environment that has shortcomings with the problems present in its environment.
  • Help foster parents of children with adjustment difficulties and/or behavioral problems.
  • Plan and facilitate group meetings.
  • Write intervention plans in collaboration with the host environment, the AM intervener and the RTF intervener, and ensure their follow-up and updating.
  • Write progress notes and progress reports.
  • Evaluate PFAP summaries and docket requests.
  • Participate in various committees deemed relevant.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments.
  • Perform any other related duties as requested by immediate supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical diploma (DEC) in social work, psychoeducation, special education, criminology, delinquency intervention or equivalent.

  • Relevant experience in youth protection intervention.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license;
  • Knowledge and experience in the First Nations environment, an asset.

Bilingualism in French and English an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week.
