Mino Obigiwasin Services Enfance & Famille Anicinape a été mise sur pied pour offrir des services à l’enfance et à la famille auprès de sa population. Cela fait suite à une entente signée avec le CISSSAT pour la gestion de la protection de la jeunesse pour les 4 communautés Anicinape : Kitcisakik, Lac Simon, Abitibiwinni (Pikogan) et Long Point (Winneway). La vision de Mino Obigiwasin est d’assurer à tous les enfants et aux familles Anicinape un milieu de vie stable, sécuritaire, heureux et enraciné dans la culture.

POSITION SUMMARY

In alignment with the mission, strategic directions, values, and general policies of Mino Obigiwasin Anicinape Child and Family Services, the Liaison and Mobilization Officer, under the supervision of the C-92 Coordinator and the Legal Advisor, serves as a liaison with the communities to share information related to the Anicinape Inakonigewin project. The role involves mobilizing and informing individuals, services, and organizations about the service offering related to the creation of the Anicinape Law, as well as supporting the improvement of services within the four communities and their partners.

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Establish and maintain collaboration with various community partners and relevant external stakeholders
  • Support the organization in conducting consultation and mobilization activities within the communities
  • Organize consultation meetings with partners and communities according to the established schedule, and provide support during these meetings
  • Propose solutions to improve the dissemination of information within the communities
  • Participate in drafting and reviewing collaboration protocols with community services and partners
  • Contribute to the preparation of outcome reports or summaries of information and consultation meetings
  • Participate in development meetings as needed by the Anicinape Inakonigewin team
  • Organize presentations to inform the public about the progress of the Anicinape Inakonigewin project
  • Perform any other related duties.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Being a member of one of the Anicinape communities of Lac Simon, Pikogan, Winneway, or Kitcisakik is considered an asset
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree, technical diploma, or college certificate in Social Work, Psychoeducation, Criminology, Special Education, Indigenous Studies, or another relevant field
  • Have relevant experience related to youth protection or a related field
  • Have relevant experience in organizing events and mobilizing the population in an Anicinape context
  • Have experience working in an Indigenous context
  • Possess the following skills: resourcefulness, strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, adaptability, discretion, professionalism, and open-mindedness
  • Be dynamic and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Be methodical, structured, and detail-oriented
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Be bilingual (French and English); speaking Anicinapemowin is considered an asset.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

  • Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week)
