Mino Obigiwasin - Anicinape Child & Family Services was created on July 4, 2019. Mandated by the communities of Lac Simon, Pikogan, KitciSakik and Winneway, Mino Obigiwasin took over the child and family services following the signing of the bipartite agreement with the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue (CISSSAT) since November 6, 2020.
Mino Obigiwasin, which means "to grow well" in the Anicinapek language, develops its services adapted to the cultural and family realities of ANICINAPE. Traditional values and practices are taken into account and it is under this perspective that our organization is planning to create the future Anicinape law, Bill C-92.
