Mino Obigiwasin Services Enfance & Famille Anicinape was set up to provide child and family services to the Anicinape population. This follows an agreement signed with CISSSAT to manage youth protection for the 4 Anicinape communities: Kitcisakik, Lac Simon, Abitibiwinni (Pikogan) and Long Point (Winneway). Mino Obigiwasin's vision is to ensure a stable, safe, happy, and culturally rooted environment for all Anicinape children and families.

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Assistant assists the Human Resources Coordinator in employee management. He/she participates in and provides clerical support for the recruitment process, training, skills development, performance evaluations, benefits and all other related areas.

ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions, organizational charts, company policies, procedures and forms;
  • Post job openings within the company, analyze and sort the applications received;
  • Conduct candidate pre-selection interviews and make recommandations;
  • Conduct professional reference checks and other required verifications;
  • Plan welcoming and integration of new employees (coordinate start dates and meetings, assemble hiring folders, plan IT requirements, etc.);
  • Enter personal data and create employee files;
  • Digitize and file documents in employee files, and keep them up to date;
  • Participate in training management;
  • Participate in benefits management (group insurance, pension funds, etc.);
  • Support the Human Resources Department in its day-to-day operations;
  • Participate in all tasks related to human resources.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold an ACS or certificate in human resources management;
  • Basic knowledge of labour standards and the Canada Labour Code;
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality at all times and be discreet;
  • Be autonomous, have a good sense of judgment and prioritize;
  • Be a good communicator and open-minded;
  • Be dynamic and enjoy teamwork;
  • Be methodical, structured and rigorous;
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an important asset.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • 1-year maternity leave replacement;
  • 35 hours per week;
  • Full range of benefits including group insurance with employer contribution after 3 months and pension fund (RBA) after 6 months with employer contribution at 182%;
